Just got back from my first golf trip to Streamsong Resort—played all three courses: Red, Blue, and Black. The Red course was my favorite—beautiful layout and a great experience overall. That said, I did feel the resort is overpriced for the level of service provided. For the amount being charged, a welcome packet or small gesture would’ve been a nice touch. Also, it would be much better if they offered an all-inclusive package that covers green fees, cart, and caddy, instead of charging separately for everything. The nickel-and-diming took away a bit from the premium experience they’re aiming for.
This is perfect for a non-golfing tag-a-long wife of a golfer. The guys had a great time on the courses, and the wives had the best time at the spa, restaurants, pool, walking trail, and cozy little places to just sit and chat. Then, we all got together for delicious dinners with awesome staff (especially Debbie at the steakhouse. She was awesome!!) Everyone left feeling energized, well rested, and excited to come back one day.
It’s a special place. And they do a great job to make everyone feel good and things to run smoothly. We tried all the restaurants and they were all excellent. There are tons of places to just chill for a couple of hours or bars to hang out and chat about all the missed putts. (I honestly don’t get the few people who gave this place less than 5 stars. 🫤). Our caddy Charlie was excellent and we met Zach, WiFi and Mikey and they were great also and made our rounds. Golf: We were playing a tournament and the first day was very slow but to the resorts credit they sped things up tremendously day 2-3. All three courses are challenging but For my money you can’t beat the Red course. It’s scenic, challenging and fun. I’d rank the Blue second because while very similar to Red (and possibly more challenging on a few holes) it’s just not as scenic. Of course the par three over the water will get most of the photographs and attention but I’d say overall, Red has more scenic holes. The Black is a fun, fairly flat course that in any other setting would be highly rated but against the other two it’s third on my list. We were supposed to play the Chain but just ran out of time. Too much to do and see. I didn’t try the spa but the pool and pool area are fantastic for a quick dip after the round. Special thanks to Drew Smith who ran a great tournament.
Golfed the Red and chains over the weekend. Greens are very fast and challenging but extremely fun. Staff is always friendly and eager to help. Location is isolated and beautiful. Lots of wildlife and amazing fishing tours which I heard yield high reward. Rooms are large and clean. I would bring my family here or a host a business event.
We had a nice time. Rooms seem a little dated but the view was very nice. The boys had a great time golfing. They said the golf course was windy and difficult, but enjoyed themselves. We ladies lounged by the beautiful infinity pool all day. The bartender was friendly and we had a great time chatting with her. It was off season so the place wasn’t very busy. The bathroom by the pool was disgraceful. It was dirty and swarmed with bugs by the entrance. I was put off by the fact there wasn’t a microwave I could even request up to the room. I had to go and ask someone to use it in the service area and it got to be a very frustrating situation. At these prices, everything should be professional & seamless. The putt-putt course by the Black club house was a great way to wind down after a long day. Food at the restaurant (except for the rice) was excellent. Service all around, well done.
