We always enjoy this restaurant because it has great food and service. They have a variety of items on the menu, plus daily specials. I had the BBQ chicken on Flat Bread plus a side of sweet potato fries. It was delicious. My husband had a Mahi Mahi fish sandwich with fries. We both enjoyed our lunch & the Christmas decorations today.
Hidden gem!! I recently had the pleasure of playing at Pinecrest Golf Club in Avon Park, and I must say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The course itself was in impeccable condition, with lush green fairways and well-maintained greens. The layout of the course was challenging yet enjoyable, with a nice variety of holes that tested my skills. The picturesque views of the surrounding landscape added to the overall beauty of the course. Overall, I had a fantastic time at Pinecrest Golf Club. The combination of excellent service, well-maintained course, and beautiful surroundings made for a memorable golfing experience. I would highly recommend this club to any golf enthusiasts looking for a great place to play.
In my assessment, this course does not live up to its reputation, and the term "oxymoron" aptly captures its essence. While the greens and bunkers are exceptional, arguably the best in the area, the overall appearance of the course is quite unappealing. The course can stretch out over 6700 yards, but the layout seems peculiar, suggesting that renovations were made to accommodate the clubhouse and driving range. The course runs seven-minute tee times, which can be prone to exceeding five-hour rounds; however, I was pleasantly surprised to complete it in four hours and fifteen minutes. Overall, the staff members were consistently courteous and friendly.
We had a great time this afternoon at Pinecrest on Lotela Golf Club. We drove in off highway 17 coming south and we were greatest by a beautiful scenic view of lake Lotela. The neighborhood is gorgeous and the golf course seemed like it was in pristine condition. Although I didn't actually golf it, it sure looked that way from the drivers seat. But any how.. It was a beautiful day and I'm happy we got enjoy a great lunch served by a charming Wendy I think her name was. The menu is really straightforward and easy to order from. You can find a wide variety of meals from sandwiches to steak, seafood to pasta and it all smelled delicious as we entered the restaurant. We were greeted and seated in less than a minute it seem like. The food was served hot and it was delicious. The grilled chicken, seasonal vegetables(green beans) and a side of squash was easy to enjoy. We also ordered a margarita flat bread that was out of this world and a order of fried pickles and jalapenos that definitely hit the spot. All in all This was a welcoming first time experience to Pinecrest! I'll tell my family and friends and I will definitely be back to try some of the other great offerings on the menu. Thanks again!
Another pleasant surprise as we continue to try different places in highlands county. It’s a little off the beaten path of 27 in Avon Park but worth the drive. Park off to the rear right when you pull in as there are spots set aside for restaurant guests. Greeted immediately and taken to our seats. The bartender turned out to be our waitress but she handled it perfectly. Very nice and explained some of the food for us. I asked for a change to a menu item and they accommodated after checking with the kitchen. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was the star of the show. Done perfectly and topped with a pimento cheese ball. So good. Our salad was delicious and the club very tasty. So many sweet potato fries, we could not finish. Had to get a box for leftovers. All in all a five star experience, especially if you’re looking for something a little different. Enjoy! #stevensleavin
